Can I get a divorce?

NC for this. We got married in 2014. In 2017 he left and went back to his home country... heard from him very little since. We're technically married - do I need his permission to get a divorce? Or can I file without him?

You can put in a sole application

Will he not correspond to assist the divorce?

I've sort of been through this until I got really frustrated with the paperwork as was doing it all myself. Basically you do need to supply an address for him (this is the bit I couldn't do as had no contact details for him) or show evidence that you have tried everything you can to get an address.... eg through his employer, friends, family etc.
There is a form that you can fill in to 'dispense of service' (? ) and this is where you need to show all the evidence you have.

After several years of not chasing g anything up, mainly due to being in various parts of the world, I'm paying a solicitor to sort it out for me.
It might be worth you having a look round for a family lawyer who can deal with international divorce, think you get a free initial consultation and then decide from there.
Obviously much easier if no children or assets involved.
