I placed a complaint about my manager about sexist comments he has made towards me (talking about bra sizes, whores, his dating life, BDSM). My manager’s manager has not taken it seriously and is just continuing as usual.

I have been on annual leave and am returning to work today. In the morning I have a business as usual Teams meeting with the two of them (and others in our team who are very close to my manager). I feel a bit anxious about attending. Aibu to not attend? I am employed in a “senior” capacity so there is an expectation for me to attend and get on with things. The meeting may have interesting things discussed but usually it just ends up being a bit awkward, people tend to be confronted about performance etc so I just anticipate an uncomfortable situation

I would attend. You don't want to give them anything to hold against you.
Keep your head high and try to carry on as usual.
However, I would definitely want your complaint to be dealt with by the senior boss, though not in this meeting with others present.
If you are invited to a meeting about the complaint, take someone with you.

You need to attend the meeting that is your professional capacity. Keep everything professional.

Why did you not take it to HR when his manager didn't take it seriously?

Of course course you should attend the meeting. Is there any way of recording the meeting?

Oh god I feel so anxious about this meeting. I have raised it as far as I can, there’s an intermediate step which I have asked for (HR mediation) but they haven’t even arranged it yet. It’s been over a month since I’ve asked
