To ask for a hand-hold, FIL is dying

My lovely FIL went into hospital for a planned leg operation on Friday, he came through this well and was conscious and talking.

Yesterday morning he suddenly had a massive heart attack and was resuscitated, but unfortunately sustained considerable brain damage.

Today the doctors have confirmed there is nothing left they can do, and his life support will be removed. My partner (only child) and MIL have said their goodbyes.

It's just so hard 😭😭 he was fine after the op and suddenly he's gone. He was only 74, RIP FIL, we love you lots 💜 ❤️

Ahh, that's really sad, I'm so sorry for you and your family. What a horrible shock for you all. 💐

It's hard. I lost my lovely MIL 12 years ago and I still miss her phone calls about nothing much but both of us were hysterical with laughter at the end.

Ypu have to deal with one day at a time, it's trite but time is a great healer. Your FIL knew you all loved him and that will help you in the days to come. Wishing you all the best xxx
