To wish I was here alone?

Feel guilty admitting this as I waited a looooong time for a family but …

It is a family members big birthday and are celebrating at a restaurant. Have booked a cottage next to the restaurant so that we can go straight to bed as children are very young (3 and just a baby.)

But how I wish I was here alone for a weekend, waking up late, watching Netflix, reading, recharging, enjoying the bath instead of managing children bath times and tea and up in the night and up early with CBeebies

one day.

Book overnight childcare. If you can afford to book a cottage just for one dinner, you probably have the means to pay for a babysitter.

Organise a weekend away and just do it.

YANBU…hang in there, it does get better with time, kids will become a lot more independent and you will have a lot more time for yourself.

Definitely no money for that.

Thanks @LoveWine123 Smile

Any family or good friends happy to babysit? Could do a babysitting swap? Strong believer that self care makes you a better parent.

I also quite happily pass my baby to family members during meals, often people feel to shy to ask to hold the baby etc, it takes a village!!

None unfortunately! I’m sure one day I will have a weekend to myself but it is a while off yet.
