Hotels and airbnbs are so expensive!

I’ve been looking at options for a couple of trips in 2024.

Nothing fancy - European locations, UK weekend breaks. Looking really for one room which can accommodate us + baby.

I am sure the prices have at least doubled since 2020. Who can possibly afford these?

Airbnb apartments which look fine but… just normal, £250+ per night, often a lot more.

Even rooms in pubs are now topping £250+ a night. And the hotels are often £400, £600 etc.

School holidays are even worse!

I agree. Was looking at hotels in Edinburgh for a sat night stay in May, average is around £500 for one night!

What dates, locations and numbers of people?

Have a look at sites like Holiday Pirates and Travelzoo. They find deals and post them for you to look up and book yourself.
