Cowboy roofer

Had a roofer come out to fix a tile that had lifted in a storm. They fixed that tile but then broke another one in half (taking the broken half with them). There is water pouring in everytime it rains. We've had promises of them coming out to fix it but it has now been 10 days.

Does anybody know if it would be worth reporting them to trading standards or taking them to small claims.

It's the principle of them lying about coming to fix that has got my back up the most.

All else fails I have their address, some envelopes and glitter (joking obvs)

No advice about TS but do you really want them back to fix something that they broke in the first place and didn't bother to fix there and then.

@Crumpleton that is a very good point. It should be a very easy fix, just one tile replaced and would be stood watching the whole time.

They were supposed to be coming out today but instead have ignored any communications. I just can't believe the morals of some people

Unfortunately having had experience of being left with the aftermath of bodge it builders I can.

There are a few decent builders/roofers out there but it does seem to be a trade that earns easy money for others.
