Rats. There were some mini chicken fillets with bacon and cheese in the reduced section of Tesco and I thought they would make a good quick lunch with salad as I’m working from home for most of this week.
I just bit down on a substantial piece of bone (given they are mini fillets as well) and chipped one of my back teeth, felt it come away and there’s now a ‘craggy’ feeling when I run my tongue over the area - I think I swallowed the bit of tooth.
I saved the packaging, receipt and bone. Is it worth taking it back to Tesco? Doubt they will do much about my tooth, but even some money back would make me feel a bit less cross. I need to check the package to see if it mentions bones anywhere. Even if it does, it’s not like it was a fish bone, it was a fairly whacking chunk. Caveat emptor or worth at least letting them know? To be fair it doesn’t hurt, but it might be storing up trouble further down the line.
