Stiff bristled stair carpet brush, is there such a thing?

Ridiculously frustrated at being unable to find a really effective, stiff brush for the hall stairs.

Although I have decent Shark and also a cordless vacuum, they never seem to do a great job, especially with our long-haired residents.

Could you please post your recommendations/links, would seriously prevent me from tearing my own hair out too 😆

ETA; How do you manage to get all the detritus out of the corners and off the carpet?

Just walked into our local hardware store and got one straight away. Old fashioned brush to go with a dustpan. Cost about 3 quid.

Second this, they're really good!

I use a shower squeegee - picks up so much hair even after I’ve already gone over with the hoover

I don’t know where I got it from but I have a stiff brush for the carpeted stairs. I used to do one week stiff brush, next week vacuum. We are shoes off and I do not have pets but I find a stiff brush also picks up dust etc. My husband now does the stairs and he prefers to use the vacuum.

Yes I have a stiff bristled wooden hand brush. I've had it years. No idea where I got it from but it's really good for getting into small places 😆

We have an old fashioned non electric hoover, think it's called a carpet sweeper. Does the job with our hairy beast, and the horse hair that comes in now at this time of year.
