Dealing with anxiety - in particular at work

My anxiety seems to come and go, at the moment it seems to be lingering. It mostly seems to be work related, and I really don’t want it to affect my job. Any tips on how to deal with it? I worry that colleagues would notice I seem anxious, especially in meetings. I seem to get like a nervous feeling then my mind starts to think here we go you are anxious at the worst time again, you ll feel bad in that meeting, then I feel worse! Any tips most appreciated.

I could understand how you feel! I feel the same at times - it gets worse if I am conscious of me being anxious.

How do you deal with it when it happens to you @Anusername ?

How would your colleagues notice that you seem anxious?

In today's world many of your colleagues will be feeling just as anxious.

Perhaps you could set up a mutual anxiety support group at work.

Keep a bottle of water with you, if you start to feel anxious have a few drinks and take some deep breaths. Try take a small walk even to the loo.
if you can avoid caffeine, and try get a good night sleep.
look at what is triggering your anxiety x

Does it really matter if you feel anxious during a meeting? All of us are anxious sometimes. What's the worse that can happen? No one is going to laugh at you. If you told your colleagues that meetings make you feel nervous I'm sure they would be sympathetic, I know I would be.
