due to have my car delivered today but it’s going to my marital home. Me and DH have had a messy split and he’s telling lies to everyone to make me out to be this horrible person. His family are there today emptying the house he won’t let me step foot in it.

They can’t deliver it to my new property because it’s a financed vehicle.

Wait outside until it arrives. Drive off honking the horn loudly shouting "You like my new ride loser?"

If it's your marital home who is he to tell you you can't step foot in it? Unless it's been awarded to him solely in the divorce and he's bought you out already?

If not, I'd just tell him straight. You'll be there today to collect your car.

Agree with above if it is your home too he has no right to say that! I would also set the record straight with his family whilst you are there.

Are you worried about seeing them/him? If is you are maybe text and say

‘Just to let you know I will be at the property today to collect my new car as it’s the only place they can drop it off due to it being the registered address. Not an issue on my side to see you but thought I would let you know in advance in case you would rather not be there as I don’t want any issues’

Does this mean that your finance is still set up at the house? Very dangerous territory here; I'd be taking immediate action with the car finance company making sure the address was changed today. You are not getting any mail to that property; you don't live there any more?

But yeah, basically. Fuck em. You have every right to be there, show him he has no hold over you. Turn up, do what you need to do, and leave. Stay calm, in control, rise above any pettiness him or his family tries to throw at you, get your new whip, and leave.
