Me and DH and kids having lovely morning. Feeling happy. I'm in the middle of a sentence talking with DH about something fairly important, and he is stroking dog. He scrunches dog skin so it goes wrinkly and says "ah look its mummy forehead"
It wasn't just the joke but I was in middle of saying something. I didnt go mad just stopped talking and said that felt a bit mean. He said FFS Rhino I'm kidding about. I said well it didny feel great and I was in the middle of talking. He said "rhino why do you need to ruin things when it's so obviously a joke"
This is pattern. We both think the other one is out of order.
What do you think? Do I need to learn to take a joke better? I don't get angry or anything just I feel a bit small in that moment. He is pissed off though that I ruin a good atmosphere at home
