Is it ever going to get warmer?

South east, forecast an average of 11 degrees for the next two weeks, with nights consistently down to 3 degrees. All cloudy bar about two days with partial sun. I don’t remember previous springs being quite this cold or sun free.

I’m just grinning and bearing it until May.

I keep saying the same thing.

I like it being windy as my washing is drying quickly but the inconsistency is driving me insane. It’s sunny, then it’s cloudy and raining 5 minutes later. And it’s so cold.

April’s always hit and miss. Likewise I’m waiting for end of May.

I really hope so - my garden feels like early march! Things are growing, but so slowly. I really, really, really want a few warm sunny days and cloudy nights to make everything go whoosh. And to save my family's sanity - my son has been hailed on for the majority of his walks home from school this week 😱

Is this el nino or proper climate change?

This feels fantastic!

I still have my thick winter duvet on and normally in April I can switch to summer style pjs under it - I was freezing last night and have got the winter pjs back out!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Yorkshire (or it will be for another hour until it gets cloudy again) but it's 8 degrees. 8!

You'll be moaning about it being too hot in a few months time

I felt the first whisper of summer today, I had my morning cuppa in the garden wearing a dress and no jumper or cardigan! It's sunny, the birds are out and busy, there's a few big chungus bumblebees on my daffs. It's coming, I remain hopeful for a warm dry summer.

It's gorgeous where I am in Worcestershire- I'm lying on the sofa in the garden in shorts and a t shirt atm

It's not even 10 degrees here in Cumbria, and it's cloudy and windy. I got hailed on most days at work this week too 😭 I'm a dog walker and I am so sick of mud, rain, wind and being permanently cold and damp - even the dogs are sick of it, tbh.

Normally I don't mind wintry weather but this year it has just felt utterly relentless.
