Would a cancerous breast lump be red on outside ie skin?

Posting for traffic.

Last June I could feel a tiny tiny pea sized lump on my right breast in certain positions - I could easily lose it. Literally never followed this up as I forgot about it/thought it went away.

Fw to now, I have been ignoring what I thought was a painful ingrown hair for the past week. It literally only just hit me that the “in grown hair” lump is in the same spot as the lump I felt in Summer. I’m very prone to ingrown hairs as I am quite hairy (Mediterranean).

I am due to go overseas for the month (sister’s wedding + holiday). GP has no appointments between now and the day I’m due to fly out.

I have large breasts (32 f). I took a picture of bump and it is reddish. Would anything cancerous be reddish? I’m only 30 so I know breast cancer is very unlikely. The lump is larger than in Summer.

I’m going to a small ish Mediterranean island

You need to get it checked regardless. If it is something sinister, there is a higher chance of treating it the earlier you get it checked.

My mum had melanoma and it looked like a blister. Just have it checked out to be on the safe side.

Yes, a breast cancer can show as redness on the skin. But I’m sure other things can too.
