So my MIL suggested we go to see a tribute of my favourite band in the next town over at a theatre she likes to go to. Tribute acts are not my thing at all, but I thought it was nice she thought of me so I agreed to go.
The next time I saw her, she asked me to book the tickets as she didn’t want to do it online. I thought this was a bit off as she invited me and how does she do it every other time she goes?? But okay fine, I book the tickets.
Now she’s just asked me about the timings and it’s come to light she’s just assumed that I will drive. So I said ‘oh I’m driving am I?’ And she was a bit taken back as she was obviously just expecting this, but now I feel seriously pissed off. She invited me somewhere but then made me book it and expects me to drive. Am I overreacting?
