I sold an item and posted the next day, sending buyer proof of postage.
The following week buyer said item hadn't turned up. I apologised and said I would try to figure out tracking (postage purchased online, Royal Mail, not especially user friendly).
A couple of days later I had notification saying item had been delivered. I contacted buyer apologising for delay over weekend of not sorting tracking but saying I was glad it turned up. Buyer replied it had not turned up but Vinted had just completed sale automatically.
I finally figured out tracking, and sent to buyer, showing that RM had attempted delivery but her address was inaccessible. The item was (and still is!) at her local post Office Depot, awaiting collection or redelivery.
Buyer says I should have sent her this information earlier and gets Vinted to refund her. Vinted tell me sale has been cancelled due to no tracking of item for 13 working days. This is not true as there were not even 12 working days in between despatch and buyer arranging for sale to be cancelled. I have said this to Vinted. They do not care.
Parcel remains at buyers post office depot. I have wasted postage cost. Value of item is minimal. I am fuming at the injustice.
