To ask if you've stopped using chat on MN?

I haven't been on chat for ages. Can't get on with the new layout?
Why fix something that wasn't broken?
Anyone else?

Why have they only done it to chat? I keep thinking it's an error on my phone. I really dislike it.

You can fix it if you filter the view

Go to settings drop down on the person icon top right on the iPad/tablet, no idea if you’re on a phone and click compact view then save. I was mega grateful to the poster who told me this the other day, the weird layout was driving me crazy!

It's been phased in across different chat sections in recent months goodness knows why

You can fix it back to the usable compact view in your settings and it applies to all sections.

Sex board is the same. Anti user in my estimation.

Just change it in your settings!

Oh, is this why AIBU is clogged up with loads of chat threads, so discussions about where to go on holiday descend into arguments?

Why would the different look stop posters starting threads on chat?

I don't know but there's loads of threads that aren't really AIBUs in AIBU, like this one.

Yep, I hate it. I think it's so ads can show pics and generally elbow their way in more.
