Should I ask for money off?

Currently staring at a hotel in Munich (not cheap, 3nights almost £900)
We seem to have the problem room!
aircon doesn’t work, tv doesn’t work, fridge doesn’t work & bathroom door doesn’t close.
The staff at front desk have given us a fan, but that’s all they can do.
Im not usually a complainer, but I am a bit miffed that nothing in the room works!
Would I be unreasonable to ask for a partial refund?

Yes you should complain as the room is not as advertised.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable - if you don’t ask, you don’t get. The worst they can say is no.
They’re not each big problems but if altogether it’s affected your stay and you don’t feel the room was worth £300 a night then you can definitely ask for some money back.

I definitely would! Doesn't matter the price. The basics aren't working.

There's no harm in trying, especially if it ruined your stay.

We had similar problems in a Steigenberger hotel in a different city in Germany. We did complain, they offered us free meals as compensation. We eventually cut our visit short as no aircon during a heatwave was unbearable.

Yes I would definitely expect some form of refund given so much of the room Is not meeting the basics standards. Although I'm surprised they've not offered to move you, is there no other rooms available to be moved to?

Apparently no other rooms available.
I use a cpap machine to sleep (mask over my face) so a boiling hot room is a nightmare. The TV & fridge are mildly annoying but the lack of aircon is a real nuisance.

So what happened OP?

Not much! They gave us a portable air con unit which sorted out the heat (the main problem) and complimentary breakfast & late check out. The staff were so nice I didn’t feel like I could kick up a fuss (wimp!!)
