Skibidi toilet wtf?

GHSP · 14/04/2024 16:56

So my teenage children have referred to skibidi toilet a few times (at first I misheard as skippity toilet) and I thought they were just being daft, but i now understand this is a meme. I found out as I heard some parents of younger children talking about how they want to keep their kids away from it.

Can any keepers of teenagers (or school staff) shed any light? Is it just a head in a toilet singing random stuff? Does skibidi mean anything? When they are using it as an adjective what are they talking about?

Is silly and a bit creepy but from what I can decipher it's literally a head in a toilet singing stupid songs.

It’s silly to teenagers but at my kids primary school lots of the boys are wetting themselves as they refuse to use the school boys toilets because other rumours about skibidi toilet living in one of the cubicles. My child isn’t allowed to watch YouTube and has never seen a video of skibidi toilet but is terrified of it due to other kids spreading storied. He now refuses to use the toilet at home unless someone is in there with him.

Ultimately harmless but a horrible concept to young minds.

Just asked my teenager and he started laughing and rolling his eyes.

He said it is a series from an animation studios (G-mod apparently still not sure what that is) it's heads in toilets singing stuff and apparently is visually stimulating so smaller kids are attracted to it.

He explained it but I don't really understand what he's going on about?

shivermetimbers77 · 14/04/2024 17:04

It’s a YouTube animation series. Very surreal.

ditalini · 14/04/2024 17:04

There's a long running youtube series where toilet men fight tv men and various other stuff that I watch out of the corner of my eye.

It's weird, dull, cartoonishly violent but pretty harmless crap from what I can see.

Fits in the same space as ds & pals previous interest in siren heads & other creations by some Canadian digital artist that were popular a few years ago.

Nail123 · 14/04/2024 17:05

My eight year old had it as his birthday cake theme 🤣

Ah interesting just googled it and seems at my kids primary they have developed their own lore about skibidi toilet. My child is convinced that skibidi grabs children who go to the toilet his head is in, drags them down the pipes and eats them. Hence me assuming it was some sort of horror thing.

Illpickthatup · 14/04/2024 17:07

I make cakes as a hobby and was asked to make a skibidi toilet cake. I was like, what the actual fuck?

IamChipmunk · 14/04/2024 17:07

My 9 year old finds it hilarious. I teach teenagers and Its not something that comes up except with the year 7's occasionally. I think most teems have grown out of it.
It's stupid youtube nonsense.

justlikebuses · 14/04/2024 17:08

Soon you'll be randomly going "dub skibidi dub dub dub yes yes" and wondering why your kids know all the word to Everybody wants to rule the world...

CuttingMeOpenthenHealingMeFine · 14/04/2024 17:08

It’s an animation on YouTube, my DS and his friends were obsessed with it last summer but they seem to be bored with it now. It is really creepy IMO but there is no child eating involved, it isn’t a horror series.

Brilliant! This is exactly my life right now, I thought it was just us, 'Saving the world we're flushing them all' was in my head when I woke up this morning Grin

izzydrizzy04 · 20/07/2024 03:19

teenagers are taking the piss out of it, younger kids are the ones actually watching it. strange, but not harmful

SargeantSaltandPepper · 20/07/2024 05:28

I thought it looked terrifying but it didn't bother my 6 year old, who thought it was funny. He's not allowed to watch it anymore but it is just animated heads in a toilet singing songs. There's lore to go along with it but I found it hard to follow.

b12tingles · 20/07/2024 05:42

There is a skibidi toilet film coming out on Netflix next year.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 20/07/2024 05:55

I have teenagers, they would be just as clueless about what it is! From what I’ve seen it’s a young kids thing.
