Look, I know it's 2024 and I can easily find them on Spotify, but I can't help still buying them and listening to them on a CD player.

Since I found old CDs on musicMagpie for less than a fiver, I've been obsessed...

I do this occasionally. It's often far far cheaper to buy old CD's from Music Magpie or eBay. I play them in the car and transfer them to my laptop and onto my phone. iTunes is really expensive considering there is no physical item!

I’ve got a CD player in my car so I am forever buying second hand CDs, I’ll be devastated when I have to replace my car and won’t have one anymore! You can often pick CDs up for £1 or less in charity shops and at that price I’ll often buy something where I’m not sure if I will love the artist or not, have discovered some great albums that way. Much better than Spotify and the like as actually listen to music albums as the artist wanted too, I feel like on Spotify it always ends up with all of the artists music just on shuffle or other artists thrown in there too.

I buy CDs too. Virtual music is all very well but you can't beat hard copy for when your internet crashes! And not everything is available on Spotify or iTunes so sometimes it's the only way to get hold of an obscure song.

Another CD (and DVD) lover here.👍

Hate it that cars don't come with CD players any more, used to love playing a favourite audio book/play on a long journey.☹️

I have loads of cds and am always buying more! Have them in my car and in the house. World of Books is also a good place to get 2nd hand cds - recently bought a 'best of' described as being in good condition for £5 - it arrived and is brand new still in its shrink wrap cover! On amazon a 2nd had copy of the same CD (it's actually a 2cd set plus a dvd) is £42!
