To ask…how long would a 250ml of shampoo last you?

Just that really. How long would it last you? Not your whole household, just you.
my mum gave me a fancy shampoo at Christmas and it’s still not empty (although I probably have 2/3 more washes out of it. I wash my hair on average twice a week. I think that’s very good longevity. How about you?

I got a fancy shampoo and a fancy conditioner for Christmas (250ml each). I wash my hair daily, but I’ve only been using the fancy stuff when I’m going into the office or if I’m going out that evening - so probably 3 times a week. I finished the conditioner yesterday! Still have a bit of the shampoo left, reckon I’ll get to the end of the month.

Yep, I wish that were the case but numerous ‘experiments’ over the last 40 years suggest otherwise. I’ve left it for a whole week many times on advice that it’ll eventually get better but all it does is get greasier, stick to my head and start attracting unwanted attention from anything blowing in the breeze. I’m like a human litter picker - gross! Numerous work colleagues have told me that it’ll be better during/after menopause but no luck on that front so far despite being in the thick of it. It started in puberty and hasn’t let up since.

It’s greasy because you wash it everyday

Oh bore off. This is so bloody predictable. And untrue.

I use solid shampoos, either from Lush or Alberto Balsam, a bar lasts me at least 6 weeks, usually longer & I wash my hair every other day.

Hair doesn't get greasy if someone washes it every day like skin, some people are oilier, sweatier and it needs washing more frequently. I have fine smooth hair and loads of it. Plus oily skin. If I don't wash it every day it looks heavy and lank.

My hair is short and I can probably go over six months on 250 ml. I wsh my hair every other day.
