To think that this is the worst habit?

Spitting.
I find it SO disgusting. Most often notice footballers doing it but just driving through the beautiful Highlands of Scotland and a passenger in the car in front leaned his head out of the window to spit a huge glob which flew back and almost hit our windscreen causing a collective "ewwwww" in our car.
It always seems to be men of a certain type doing it... are there any spitters out there brave enough to shed some light on this horrid habit?

I’m not sure it’s the worst habit but it’s definitely up there. Absolutely disgusting, unsanitary and antisocial.

In the past week I’ve seen different men in my area urinating out in the open in daylight which seems to be happening more and more.

My husband has never spat. Or is it spitted? In any event these men should learn to control themselves.

Yes it's disgusting and can spread tb very unhygienic if you step on spit on the street and then come back into your house

I think it’s vile and I’m sure someone will tell me otherwise, but I haven’t seen a woman spitting in the street.
