Kids playing football inside fenced play area

Why is this the Done thing now? Twice this week I've taken my kids to play on the equipment (swings/slide etc) and bigger kids have been having a full-on match inside the fenced off space. Balls getting kicked the full length of the little area. This is despite there being several grassed areas right next to the park for the sole purpose of football with goals. Parents are allowing this and yes I did ask if they could move away since there was a few near misses. I'm just a bit perplexed at the lack of consideration from parents and their older kids who should definitely know better. 🤔

They'll be back at school next week.

My kids go back on Monday too, but there's plenty of little ones toddling around in here and having taken a football to the face last year, it REALLY hurt as an adult, never mind if it hit a 2 year old just minding their own business on the slide.
