To not be able to find 34" (86cm) leg women's jeans

Posting here for traffic, out of desperation. I don't need to know if IABU, I just need suggestions :-)

I am cursed with long legs (yes, it is a curse, I spend my life with trousers flapping around my ankles) and am looking for good quality, smart black jeans. Preferably slim leg to look smart with a tailored jacket.

M&S - I can only find their Lily which I already have, and is 1" too short, the stretch has gone baggy, and they faded.
Mint Velvet - their lengths only go to 31"
Levi's - nothing in a 34 leg womens for a 34 waist (size 16). The minute you have 34" legs you are only allowed to have a 32" waist. I'm working on it but am mid 50's, menopause is against me!
Long Tall Sally - what they have has pretty bad reviews.
John Lewis - nothing coming up
Next - all seem to be out of stock, they have one pair of £26 XXLong which will probably be a stopgap but I would like to buy a decent quality pair to last.

Fatface - their Long is only 32"

Any other ideas? Would I be better giving up and going for cropped jeans and add mid calf DM type boots in the winter? Though that doesn't go with a tailored jacket....

Should I move to the Netherlands so I can shop more easily?

Esprit have 34" length but the waist only seems to go up to 33" (sometimes the fit is different to the stated size though - I have a variety depending on the cut and stretch in the material)

Planesmistakenforstars · 12/04/2024 10:21

I wear men's jeans for this reason (and shirts, though I don't put my legs in them.) Loads more choice and never had a problem with the fit.

I was looking at Espeot last night. I know this is totally off topic, but their prices have risen so much.

£130 quid for a jacket that would have been about £70 three years ago

7forallmankind 34 length as standard - not cheap 😱 but worth it

blobby10 · 12/04/2024 10:28

@Towerofsong I'm the same as you and find that Lands End clothing jeans are the best by far. I love their straight leg mid rise jeans and the beauty of them being an American company is that according to them I'm a size 12 Grin

MyOtherHusbandIsAWash · 12/04/2024 10:33

There’s a N American brand called Silver Jeans, who do various long lengths. I’m usually a 33” and have some 34” that are defo too long without heels. Really good quality jeans with various waist shape types (incl slightly curvy and more curvy). Obviously too far to ship in case they don’t fit but I have found them on Amazon UK a few times, mainly shipping from EU.

@Towerofsong love the user name💕

Is this the LC version or the Jesus and Mary Chain one?

I would really need a 33/33...
m&s long sometimes fit. but you need to try them on, they are very variable.

mitogoshi · 12/04/2024 11:03

Levi's

amzn.eu/d/0ZPqaOn

These are bigger on the waste and fit me at size 16.

I have hips and a waist. Men's jeans just don't fit well on me.

Silvercandlesticks · 12/04/2024 12:08

I’ve 34” inch leg, and am size 8 which is a further challenge as longer lengths are often made for sizes 12 and upwards. I find Long Tall Sally too long and big / baggy on me.
I get my jeans from
Diesel Jeans
New Look Tall section
Lovall (used to be Love Leggings), these are more like jeggings style.

Sosandar have up to 33” in different styles, I just about get away with these. Be aware no longer free returns though.

I agree, they've shot up! I only buy in the sale now (which runs frequently!).

Mens jeans worked as a teen as I have no hips. But now I have a belly they tend to dig in uncomfortably. I'll try again though, maybe stretch ones would work

Asos tall?

InconvenientPeg · 12/04/2024 15:10

Lts jeans are actually decent quality atm, though they def fit large and I think slightly long.

Top shop, ASOS, Dorothy Perkins and new look are our go tos atm

Elphame · 12/04/2024 15:17

Same here. Just been grouching to Disturbia that some of us now have long legs y'know.

Some of the M&S styles are long enough for me but the quality control is so poor now. One pair had one leg an inch and a half longer than the other...

LTS seem to be cut for a boyish figure. I can get them to fit round the waist or round the hips. Not both together!
