... and how long after the 'violation' it arrived in the post?
I accidentally (don't ask- no sense of direction and no sat nav!) drove through central central London last weekend. I mean, literally across Lambeth bridge with the kids waving at the house of parliament and Big Ben from our little, ten year old Clio
I paid the congestion charge immediately but I accidentally pulled into a bus lane when turning right at some traffic lights. Very quickly reversed and manoeuvred out (thanks to a very kind van driver who beeped me to alert me and let me move back in front of him!) but to be honest I'm not the best driver so if I had contravened other red route driving rules I would believe it - last time I drove into outer London I got a PCN for stopping in a yellow box
I have been waiting for PCN to arrive but still nothing - I was expecting it Monday/Tuesday as assumed they are automatic from the cameras that are literally everywhere. I'm now wondering if I've got away with it by some form of miracle!
I go away early next week for a fortnight and would like it to arrive before then so I a) can pay the reduced fee and b) I don't have to confess to DH as would need him to check my post
