To quit new job already?

Been at new job for two weeks, it is actually awful. Not what I expected or was lead to believe at all.
My anxiety is sky high and I’ve lost a stone in weight since handing in my notice at my old job. Can’t sleep at night and keep having palpitations.
hybrid and flexible but very isolating. Less childcare costs in term time but expensive in holidays.

I can go back to my old employer easily, would be on slightly less money as bottom of rung again, but it’s a job I know well did love for a long time, it was just wanting to try something new after ten years that made me take a risk.
term time only, so high childcare term time but holidays off with no fees.

what would you do??

It sounds to me like you already know what you want to do - and I wouldn't let pride stop me doing it. Nothing is more important than your health and mental health - without it all the other areas of life start to unravel.

Fuck that.

Go back to your old job.

I had to leave a ‘perfect on paper’ job after three months. Pay was banging but not worth the dispair.

I'd go back to your old job. Sounds like an easy and healthier choice given how badly this one's affecting you.

I'm in the process of returning to my previous job. Stuck my current one out for 6 months but knew immediately I had made a mistake. Had to wait until a vacancy in my old department came up as they had already filled the vacancy I created. I'm so happy to be going back!

If you know what you want just go for it, life's too short to hate what you do! Good luck!!

Go back but not on less pay! I'm sure they'd love you back so just say I'd need to come back on my previous wage.
