Should I try dating younger

I am soon to be 33, and single currently. Have been warned several times that dating gets harder as you age, mainly as the pool shrinks.
I've made a couple of online dating profiles and honestly didn't really find anyone I was attracted to, I set the age range for 32-38.
The thought of having to 'settle' is incredibly depressing.. I never thought it'd be so hard to meet someone I'm attracted to, who's a good person and who I've stuff in common with.
I work in a large office, of the 6 men I've ever been attracted to there, 4 aren't single, 1 wouldn't get involved with a colleague and the other one just looks around 24, sadly.
If I were several years younger I'd not be thinking about this, but I feel time ticking away and it's depressing.
I am generally attracted to men who are slightly younger, I'm just finding it tough.
I do the parkruns but men either turn up with their girlfriends or are just too absorbed in the warm up, plus most of them finish it in about half the time I do. I've signed up for a singles' night soon but don't have much hope.
Just wondering if I should look for men who are maybe 27+ and if I'd have more luck?

I mean why not? That’s a pretty small gap at 5 years and you’re widening your choices. People can be old souls at a young age - I just wouldn’t go on a date with anyone who gave me a sleazy vibe. I’d be up front that I want a long term partner, and see what happened.

My Mum keeps saying I should try a bit older as I'd hopefully find someone more mature,but I'd like to think there are some mature younger ones too!

Also - is the time pressure because you want kids? That’s okay, but to ease that you could do a fertility MOT for about 350 quid which might help you relax a little about it, or give you valuable information.

I met DH when I was 25 and he was 38, happily married now 2 years later 🫶🏻 I never really looked at older men but I guess you never know till you find someone!

My husband is 6 years younger than me, we've been together since we were 18 and 24. You can't really tell there's an age difference in us although I will say we had to do everything on his timeline as he wasn't ready to get married until I was 35 and we didn't have kids until I was 38 and 40, I would have wanted to do these things earlier but was prepared to wait until he was ready

I was with an older man for 13 years. He was a complete man-child with a drinking problem and an inability to listen or communicate and he never pulled his weight.
