I realise this is very unmumsnetty but could we have a thread of our biggest problems and if others have been through similar they could offer advice? I realise there’s some problems that no one else can solve but sometimes a bit of guidance from someone who has been through similar helps?

For the last few weeks I've felt a pulling/tight sensation across my lower abdomen/pelvis if I bend down or lift anything. I'm absolutely terrified, I've phoned the docs twice now but there have been no appointments available. I've written myself off already, imagining ovarian or cervical cancer. I'm like a swan, on the outside I seem calm but inside I'm in absolute panic, paddling away trying to keep things normal. Cancer has blighted my life, two years ago I lost my 13 year old son to it and ive also lost both parents to it at a young age. I'd love to hear some words of advice from anyone.

I'm so sorry for your losses. Do you think you could be (understandably) suffering from some health anxiety?
I think you need to insist on seeing a doctor. Your symptoms need checking but it could also help to discuss how you are feeling emotionally, you've been through such a lot.
If it helps, I've had cervical cancer and didn't have any tightening or stomach pains.

@TimeForBedSaidZebadee thank you so much for the reply. I was starting to regret posting but your words have really helped me. You are correct, I do actually think I have some kind of health anxiety, I always imagine the worst scenario after everything that's happened. I will try to get a GP appointment as soon as possible but thanks again for your advice, it's much appreciated and I hope you are OK.
