Do I really need to know how to scramble eggs?

Husband of many years asked for scrambled eggs, amongst other components, for his tea. Yes, I usually cook most of his meals on demand, as it were. I've cooked eggs for him scrambled on a few occasions lately. When I walked in the kitchen he already had a pan on the hob and gaily said " come here, let me show you how to cook them". What would you have said? Suffice to say he now has a major sulk underway, probably lasting the next few days.

I'd have said "well done dear"

And left him to it

It's not that hard really is it 😂 but he clearly wants to impress you with his knowledge of how 🤣

Surely not

Surely you said listen you arrogant prick you can have perfect eggs forever since you'll be doing all your cooking yourself

Well... I would just leave and say "I see you have it handled". Vooking on demand all the time is... Maid like

My DH gave me advice on the proper way to wash my hair, I am 70 years old and he is bald...........

What other components? A side of beef? Potato smileys?

EveryoneJapan · 07/04/2024 18:43

I’d have let him cook them, whilst scrolling divorce lawyers on Google.

i would have said how kind of you to cook all the dinner tonight

BabySnarkDoDoo · 07/04/2024 18:49

'How clever of you dear. You can do all the cooking from now on since you have such a talent for it'.

I replied that I didn't think, I knew that I didn't want to watch him cook the eggs and that it was ok to be able to cook your own eggs.I didn't need to know his preference. Only been married 44 years so it's still a learning curve...

he doesn't like how you did them, i guess. In which case if he wants scrambled egg he makes them himself. Not the shitty PA "let me show you".
The only answer to that, unless you have asked him to show you, is "get to fuck"
