Aibu to be annoyed with in-laws

My partners parents come over yesterday for half hour or so then my partner went off to watch a football game with his dad, however we have a 3 month old baby, and what they failed to mention is that their daughter has a stomach bug she's only 6 and it's wiped her out for days not to mention his mum felt sick when she come over but didn't tell anyone and was sick hours later and has been since, I'm now extremely worried as she was interacting with my son and my partner has been around his dad all day who is most likely got it or going to get it.

I already suffer with postpartum anxiety especially around my sons health, aibu to think this is incredibly selfish and do you think I should say something I think they already know we are pissed off! I just couldn't imagine being around baby's and children knowing I was unwell I wouldn't have brought it to their house with their daughter at risk of being unwell.

No you’re not BU.

Oneearringlost · 07/04/2024 10:16

Definitely NOT being unreasonable.

Malarandras · 07/04/2024 10:17

You are absolutely not unreasonable. They have been really inconsiderate. Hopefully you and baby are OK.

kiwiane · 07/04/2024 10:18

It’s really selfish of them - I’d tell them I’m cross that they came over and to stay away if they’re ill in future. I hope you’re okay.

OatFlatWhiteForMe · 07/04/2024 10:18

No unreasonable at all. That’s very poor judgement at best on their part and downright selfish at worst.

BoudiccaOfSuburbia · 07/04/2024 10:20

YANBU.

Stupid and selfish of them. I would be furious.
