To ask if a light period is still a good period?

I’m worried and it’s in my mind all the time.

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 8 years ago.

I’ve never ever missed a period and always very regularly, maybe have a day delay here or there or comes a day or to late but very regular.

Over the years my periods started getting lighter. I have brownish, light period the first day. Two days of proper bleeding, but moderate and 2 days of brownish, less vivid blood colour bleeding. Brownish discharge after for a day or two.

I used to have heavier periods.

I’m 32 and would love to have a child or children in the future. It’s not on the cards though for another while as I’m not in a relationship.

You need to speak to a medical professional.

I think as you get older your body evolves. I was diagnosed with PCOS and I would often feel dizzy light headed through heavy periods and pain. Fast forward 12 years and numerous contraceptives I actually don’t get them often at all. (I managed to have children with it too)
However if you’re worried definitely seek medical help

I have PCOS and had the same worries about short/light periods when I was TTC. I also had really long and irregular cycles. My periods never got heavier or longer but I conceived after about 18 months when my cycles had shortened and became more regular. If your cycles are already regular I think that's an encouraging sign. Wishing you all the best, OP - the uncertainty with OP and lack of understanding even amongst medical professionals is so tricky. I found Reddit a really useful source of info at the time - PCOS seems to be more widely discussed in the States and there were a lot of users from there with good insights.

I don't have PCOS but I do have very light periods. Usually 2 days of light flow then couple of days spotting.

I've had 2 babies conceived in first couple of months of trying. I was really worried that I was going to have issues but thankfully didn't affect!

I don't have PCOS but I have always had very light periods - a couple of days of light bleeding. I've had two healthy pregnancies.

I an also early 30s. I have PCOS and have quite short periods - a day of light bleeding, a day of heavier bleeding (but still not what I would call heavy) and then a day of spotting. They have always been like this and spaced 35-37 days apart. I have managed to have children.
