To walk away from my three year old and tell him to leave me alone?

Obviously unreasonable but I really can’t cope with him today, absolutely foul and wondering how and where I went so wrong.

My son was horrible when he was three. I could have cheerfully given him away. It will get better I promise. 🌷

You haven't gone wrong.

Three year olds are notoreious for being arseholes sometimes.

It's OK to plonk him in front of the TV with some crisps and have 5 minutes to yourself for a breather 💐

Thanks, unfortunately he’s still horrid even with the TV. I really do appreciate you saying this. Spent the morning with my friend and her DD and she was just lovely 😭

They’re always lovely when they’re someone else’s and you can give them back OP. My DS was an absolute monster most of the time when he was that age. It was pure hell at times. He’s a teen now and absolutely gorgeous in every way 90% of the time and I wouldn’t change him for the world. It gets better I promise!

You didn't smack him or scream at him! You walked away.

My 8yo & almost 6yo have been absolutely vile over the bank holiday weekend, so much so that I was actually glad to go to work this morning & leave them home with Dad today.
I remember times when they were much younger & I'd strap them in their carseats & just go for a drive - they were still absolute arseholes but thank heavens for drive-thrus to get coffee!
