Esure missed payment warning on a Bank Holiday!?

Anyone else had this? The direct debit due today will obviously go out tomorrow. I have no control over this.

And their customer service chat is useless. Just repeating that the payment has been missed. Have they upgraded their system and forgotten to tell it about bank holidays?

Is it a direct debit or standing order?
The company is in charge of requesting a direct debit from your account. If its a standing order or other payment you've set up on the account then its your responsibility to make sure there is enough time for the payment to be sent by the due date

It's definitely a direct debit. Been with them a few years now and never had an issue.

Amazing how bank transactions stop on holidays but you can send money all over the world at the touch of a button
