My son has type one diabetes. It’s been almost 4 years since he was diagnosed as a young teenager. It’s relentless. He has to inject insulin multiple times a day. He can’t eat without injections. He caught a cold/stomach bug recently and we’re struggling to keep his blood glucose down. Every time he’s unwell it shoots up and stays stubbornly high. He did 10 injections yesterday. I just feel wrung out. I don’t need any advice about managing diabetes (I know all the advice). I’m just wondering if there’s anyone else in the same position who can relate to how hard this is. Just feeling worn down and a bit alone.
