I know it’s late, but those who are awake to remind you that we will lose an hours sleep tonight as the clocks go forward at 1am.

My bestie in NZ has just reminded me 😊

Thedogscollar · 31/03/2024 00:31

Yay longer days. Summer is coming.

Loki64 · 31/03/2024 02:02

I just weng up to bed as it was almost 1am, got into bed and it was 2am and i was very confused, and then saw your post! Thank you!

JMSA · 31/03/2024 02:14

I must be getting old, as it feels like absolutely NO time since I last changed my clocks!

decionsdecisions62 · 31/03/2024 02:16

Oh God! I just thought wow have I been scrolling for 2 hrs? Then read your post!

Newcrocs · 31/03/2024 02:16

Chatting to a friend and she just said how is it 2am it was just 1am!

Can't wait for the kids to get up an hour earlier tomorrow 😬

sadie93 · 31/03/2024 02:17

Oh lol. We got home from a friend's house at 12 and sat down to watch the finale of a show we've been binge watching (45 minutes) and I was SO confused as to how it was 2am until I saw this...

Catsmere · 31/03/2024 02:29

There'll be a week when Britain and parts of Australia are all on daylight saving at once, then! We don't get to end it until the 7th.

You can remind them that the clocks go back in NZ next weekend!

If they sleep until the same time they usually do, it’ll now be an hour later!

Shockingly I’ve failed to change my clocks. Most update themselves but the car/ kitchen clock are now the right time again (finally)

🤣🤣🤣🤣

vodkaredbullgirl · 31/03/2024 05:53

Means I finish work and hour earlier 😁

NorthernChinchilla · 31/03/2024 06:09

My 'D'S left his phone alarm in the living room.
So it woke me at 5.30, not him.
But it's really 4.30am.

I may swap the chocolate eggs for broccoli in the Easter egg hunt later....

theculture · 31/03/2024 06:21

Glad i saw this, we haven't been away visiting family and lost track of when the clocks change - and have a flight to catch home!

theculture · 31/03/2024 06:21

Edit: We have been away!

Mycatmyworld · 31/03/2024 07:16

Never bother with it.

I live under a rock, so I didn't know this. Thank you OP, any attention-seeking connected with this post was (I'm sure) totally coincidental.

CrispieCake · 31/03/2024 07:56

I have small children so the "lost hour" works in my favour, if anything.

DappledThings · 31/03/2024 08:08

I hate this day. The beginning of it being light far too late in the evening. I'd abolish BST altogether and stick on GMT year round if I had the option.

Catsmere · 31/03/2024 08:17

I totally sympathise, @DappledThings. I loathe daylight saving here in Australia. Six months a year of resenting it, as if summer isn't already bad enough.

I was unaware that you were unaware so thanks very much for telling us. And I would guess the attention you got for your post was, similarly, an unintended consequence? As will be any intention I get for mine.
