Hello

A few weeks back I changed my network provided on a PAYG, none contract service, ie stnd alone service, not renwes or expires until all monies used

What I've noted is the number of times I've conactact their customer services, on the same day often within 12 hours I am getting texts that look like they are genuine (I'm new to them so got confused and for example real name ?????, the text would come from ?????mobile/Moboir/CS, etc)

I did text "STOP" to one and was charged the money, my fault.

I've now changed the genuine provider's name to ?????Geuine and the real provider only will text/ctact from ?????

I am wondering that almost every time I call them and get the fraudlunat texts, is there a security breach, etc? When I left the other provider, they asked for my name, address and who I was going to.

Has it or is it happening to you?

I made a call to them today about 2 hours ago, no fake text atm to click on link, text back etc

Which provider is it and what do the texts say? You often get customer service review type messages when you contact help desks

major sub contractor supermarket provider via a well-know mobile provider

The tests are NOT from my provider. Texts often read or similar

"hi after today's call with ????? Mobile here are 4 quick question about our service and experience , ALL tests are free. Alternaitve, raxt STOP.""

Then there are one wth links to the provider but not really the provider

The day after I joined got the STOP messages and I thought WTF, I told them no marketing texts but felt it was easier to spend 10p for thetext but it cost 15 ad it was to Romian the provider tells me

I've asked the providers fraud dept to call me the clows said 4 weeks, not 4 weeks yet

It happens about 80% of the time, ie 4 out 5 calls to the provider and text often well with 24 hours.

Forward to 7726. If there are enough complaints about it, the Information Commissioner Office will pick it up, investigate and reprimand/fine them as appropriate
