In my situation WWYD?
2 DC, 4 and 1. Life is exhausting atm (just the usual full time job and 2 kids).

DH's friend's party is tonight. We've contributed £50 for the airbnb. Would be driving and staying over.

day 2 of period. Only 2nd period since having baby a year ago so dont know how it will play out. V painful atm

Baby wakes up at 4.30am every day - my mum is v kindly babysitting.. but I could make the most of this offer by staying home, having a bath and an early night.. but often struggle to fall asleep when DH not there.

Did have a night out a month ago so not desperate to get away.

I'm really 50/50 but..
YABU - go
YANBU - don't go

You've got the rest of your life to chill, take advantage of a night away from baby and go to the party

Go - have fun - take the opportunity to have a break from the same four walls

Have one for me!

I’d go, surely it’s nice for you and DH to spend the time together and you can still have a lie in/decent night’s sleep at the party can’t you?

If your Mum is generally happy to have the kids overnight, maybe you could book in an overnight for the coming months when you do just have a complete chill?

Go to the party, head back to the BnB early, have a good night's sleep, lovely leisurely breakfast and then go back to the madness.

I would take up your mum's offer, send DH off to enjoy the party, and have an evening to myself - bath, nice food, light-hearted TV, and a long lie in. But I hate parties, so I'm biased!

Don’t go. Do what makes you happy, there will be other parties where you aren’t on day 2 of the P. A night off in your position sounds like it would be blissful

Thanks everyone! As I checked the results I realised I kind of wanted to be told to go.. I very much enjoyed having a long shower and making myself look nice, I'm drugged up on ibuprofen and stumbled across some period pants so can be sure of no leaks. @WeeOrcadian I will, thank you!
