It’s hard to get my head around sitting in the UK and spending a couple of minutes watching live pictures from the bottom of a lock in Utrecht so that I could alert people to fish that need the gate opening. The internet is really extraordinary.

If you don't see a bell to ring its because it is 'full' - they have an explanation below that says they only have 950 'streams' - after that, you just get to watch the live stream but can't interact (presumably so they don't get inundated with 1000's of pictures of the same fish!). If you keep refreshing though you'll get the doorbell eventually!

I'v seen this but couldn't work out how to ring the bell. Does it only appear when there's a fish there?

I think Abbey Road webcam would actually benefit from a bell people could ring to get people off it so cars can cross occasionally as well ;-)

(may be biased as speaking as someone who fairly regularly drives across it ;-))

I love the fish doorbell, I pop on during the night when I can't sleep (and less people watching the stream so more likely to get to use the bell!)
