I'm listening to a book which is clearly the author's voice but it is frequently a bit robotic as if he has recorded his voice tone and they have applied to the book. It sounds weird and slow at times as if the speaker medicated - I can't see how the author would have read it so oddly.
I don't see why they can't get the author to record it. It's so weird.
