Anyone up? Posting for traffic
my daschund has had diarrhoea all day and now is passing blood…emergency vet now or wait til morning? She’s shivering and very unhappy. I’m being indecisive, worried about her but don’t want to be an emergency if it’s not

I think emergency vet would be what I’d do.

PeopleAreWeird · 25/03/2024 03:16

Emergency vet yes

3luckystars · 25/03/2024 03:18

Yes I would call now

ilovesooty · 25/03/2024 03:18

I think she needs to see the vet now. I hope she'll be OK.

Ariadne08 · 25/03/2024 03:19

Definitely take the dog to the emergency vet. No good will come of waiting until morning, except you probably not sleeping for worry!

This was the last poo

Emergency vet. She’ll be more comfortable the sooner she’s seen. Hope she’s ok.

Call the vet, something similar happened to my dog they gave him something to settle his stomach and a pain killer and he was fine a few days later. Always best to ring them

SnowSnow · 25/03/2024 03:32

Definitely call now. Hope pup is soon feeling better

Hope it went ok. You can still claim on insurance for emergency appointments if you have it.

My dog has bouts of colitis with similar poo. Obviously they need seeing but the vet does say it looks more alarming than it is, if that reassures. Good luck.

Londonrach1 · 25/03/2024 07:07

How's your dog op this morning and yes ringing the vet was the right decision x

MontyDonsBlueScarf · 25/03/2024 08:07

Hope he's ok, mine had something similar and urgently needed fluids and electrolytes. He did make a full recovery but if I hadn't taken him when I did it would have been a close thing.

JillyTheJinx · 26/03/2024 17:28

Come on OP let us know how your dog is please!

greengreyblue · 10/04/2024 15:38
