Getting passports when not with child father

Hello, just wondering if I would have any issues getting my children’s first passports without their fathers consent?
we are separated and have no contact due to social services and past domestic abuse.

would I be able to still get passports for the children?

As long as you have a valid UK passport, you only need to put that in and a copy of your birth certificate. No father's details needed, I left it blank

As above. My children have had 2 passports now, due to age and the previous expiring. No issues at all

I don’t have a passport either, sorry should have said that. It will be my first passport

Uk passport fine
Irish passport pain in the arse for this. If he’s on the birth cert you need his consent.

Get yourself a passport, then you can do the kids ones, l never had a problem doing my children's ones like that.

I did my first ever passport and my children’s at the same time when separated from their father. Didn’t need his permission or to get him to sign anything, which was handy as he would have caused drama. Hope this helps OP. This was about 5 years ago, maybe 6.

Just to add and make it clearer, it was my children’s first ever passports too.

Thank you x
