Water purity - is Evian the best ?

This scary article makes me wonder if we should just switch to bottled water ? Is Evian the best in terms of purity ? Are there any other (cheaper) brands that are as pure?

And that's ignoring the environmental effect if shipping all these single-use plastics around the world.

You can't live your life by media health scare stories. Assuming you live in London, you're going to breath much worse pollution every day.

All water has minute chemicals in it

You could buy a Brita type water filter to filter your tap water

All UK water has to be of a standard that is drinkable.

What Kris said above. Bottled water is a disaster environmentally.

Please don't buy bottled water. It's environmentally disastrous for many reasons, and not healthier. Humans don't need super-pure water anyway.
Water transported in plastic bottles is contaminated with microplastics. The small amounts of contaminants in tap water are no problem. Tap water in this country is very safe and constantly monitored for anything harmful. Tiny amounts of contaminants don't hurt anyone.
