I'm full of a cold and possibly chest infection but I've just moved house and there's SO MUCH to do. I wanted to have a really productive weekend. So much unpacking, cleaning, sorting

Same, currently in bed!

It's annoying when you're too ill to do what you need to do, but if you push it now you'll make yourself feel worse for longer. Bank holiday weekend next weekend so maybe you'll have time then?

JMSA · 24/03/2024 08:36

That's so annoying! The timing of it would really bug me too.
It can't be helped though. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

Candleabra · 24/03/2024 08:37

Leave it today. Get well soon.

Springisnear4 · 24/03/2024 08:39

I just really didn't want another week of feeling chaotic and living around boxes :(

I know, but if you do too much it might make you feel worse in the long run xx

Springisnear4 · 24/03/2024 08:56

I've got that pain behind your eyes you get with a cold sometimes :(

Could you contact a local cleaning company and ask if they would do it as a one off job?

ViciousCurrentBun · 24/03/2024 09:02

You will prolong your recovery so just rest.

We have been a house of plague for a month. All of us have been very ill at every point there has been one person who due to timeline has been a bit better so they have done the bare minimum. I was totally bedbound for 2 weeks, DH for a week and even DS has now been in bed for 4 days which is unheard of. DS GF attempted to work through her illness and has now made even more ill.

Aw that’s not good! What symptoms did yous have? X

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 24/03/2024 09:09

If you need to take it easy the. That's what you need. You'll only drag it out if you try to power through.

Having said that have you tried an anti-histamine?

Tree pollen is really high at the moment, hayfever is out in force and that feeling of pressure behind the eyes, chest congestion etc is how my hayfever presents.

@Jayd291 started with a cough 3 days then fever for 3 days, so much snot and phlegm . I was also sick and got dehydrated. We have all had it at different levels with me being the worst. Violent coughing for 3 weeks, gradual decline, just two small bouts of coughing today so far which is a relief.
