Very bloated in the first trimester - outfit ideas

Hello,

I’m really bloated (look about 20 weeks already) in the first trimester and obviously want to hide this, while still wearing clothes I feel confident in. I am 5ft 4 and UK size 12.
What can I wear? I can’t find anything online and it’s making me feel really down in the dumps wearing leggings and jumpers every single day, especially as we are coming into nicer weather. Worried about buying too much in case I don’t get my wear out of it, not sure I quite need maternity clothes yet.

Thank you!

Sympathy, the bloating is awful! I've had the same dilemma. I don't have many suggestions - I had such bad sickness that I hardly left the house for almost a month, so lived in my leggings and pjs too for most of 1st trimester.

When I really had to go out, I put a shirt dress (the type that's a little loose and flowy but ties at the waist so you don't look shapeless) over the leggings, and I dug out an old pair of loose-fit jeans that are normally a size too big. Flowy shirts and a slightly oversized jumper or blazer disguised the rest of it (and keeping my coat on as much as possible!) The oversized trend atm definitely works in our favour.
