Shamelessly posting for traffic.
I have been suffering burn out and anxiety for a year now after a really series of traumatic events and working full time as a lone parent.

My anxiety has slowly been getting worse and ramps up around my period.
Since December, I have been experiencing a lump sensation in my throat and I cannot get rid of it.
It is so apparent when I'm lying down at night and feels like a blockage.

I've been to the GP who has prescribed me a CBT online course which I honestly haven't had time to start.

My mind is going into overdrive thinking I have throat cancer and it's just so awful to live with.

I'm going back to the GP next week but any other suggestions for releif over the weekend?

Hey. Sorry you are feeling like this. I think you are right to go back to your GP.
i wanted to mention in the “worth a shot” camp - I had this in pregnancy and it was caused by silent reflux. I didn’t have classic heartburn symptoms but did have some acid / something going on that was causing that something in my throat sensation for me. Gaviscon double action (it had to be double action!) helped me. If you are stressed could that be causing heartburn (just without the classic symptoms)?
hope you get some help xx
