So bored of organising stuff

Anyone else find with dates it is exhausting to organise things all the time? Just me a new fella online-we arranged to meet this weekend back on Tuesday. I suggested the time and the town closer to him and said could he pick. The day before we meet his just asked if I can find somewhere.

I know I’m being unreasonable and projecting , but I am just sick of it. My last relationship ended because everything fell to me. I organised the time, am prepared to travel, I just want him to pick a venue- anywhere I don’t give a shit. I was really excited, but am I expecting too much for a bloke to (half) organise a night out?

I think that one of the few benefits to a new relationship is that you get to draw your lines in the sand and decide if it's worth your time. Right now, I don't think he or you have done/thought anything wrong- you literally have no obligations to each other. If you're not 'feeling it' and just feeling fed up, then maybe it's run its course already?

It is lazyness wrapped up as concern that winds me up.

“So where would you like to go”…all I want to say is “I’ve had a tough week, just like you. Making me find somewhere everytime isn’t chivalrous, it’s just piss annoying”

No you aren’t.

I’d throw this one back. If he’s too lazy to think of a venue he either isn’t arsed about a relationship, or is a lazy arse full stop.

Just cancel, your self respect will thank you

i would say this-:

Might be a bit strong, but exactly how I feel.

“Nope… your choice, let me know where to meet you! Can’t wait”

There is an art to being pleasantly firm. it also helps to start as you mean to go so just lob that ball back to his court and don’t do it.
