I'm mid forties with many successful years management experience in my current field. I'm considering applying for a deputy practice manager job in a local GP practice.
I don't have any previous health care experience however am certain I have more than enough transferable skills for the job description. My experience aligns more to a practice manager role but feel lack of knowledge/experience in health care would be step too far.
The role would mean a drop in my current salary but I feel would enable a better work life balance as I'm often "on call" which means I don't fully relax whilst away from work.
Am I being naive? Any wise words from those in similar field appreciated..
