I always told myself that once the kids were a bit older i would start to take more pride in my appearance again. Pre kids I used to dress nice and feel good . I find myself envious of the mums who look great everyday …how do they do it ?! I feel like I have lost the desire to look good over the years to the point that I don’t even know where to start and live in leggings . Am I the only one ? What would you do to Glow up if you could ?

I’m currently finding myself again after two kids and a separation. I am 39. Botox twice a year, just forehead, nails done monthly, hair coloured professionally - I am a greying brunette, so blending with ash blondes, looks fresh and modern. Make up is fresh, but don’t often wear it (have naturally good skin), regular exercise, water. Also eyebrows microbladed and laser hair removal.

all the above makes me feel confident (think that’s a big thing however you glow up, gotta be self-confident!). I also feel ready all of the time and loads of time saved, regardless how/what I’m wearing

I started easing up on all the crap I was eating to get me through the day, drinking water and then just getting out for walks and stuff more really! I went and got hair done, had a good old pampery shower, leg shave, started cleansing properly again and pulled out my old boots to wear with jeans (had been wearing tracksuit bottoms). It’s worked for a while but I’ve let myself slide again time to deep condition and straighten hair methinks! Hoping to oh start back swimming too! best of luck op!

I suppose I've done this in the last year or so.

  • lost weight and am now a 10/12 which makes it so much easier to dress simply but well
  • get my hair coloured every 8 weeks
  • Botox every 4/5 months or so
  • do full make every day, I just feel better with it
  • eat well, I have soup with tons of veg in it for a lot of my meals
  • some nice jewellery, nothing expensive but makes me feel 'done'
