Very trival annoyance - Glitter & Sparkles everywhere?

I might be just terribly unlucky but the last 3 items I purchased online - one shoes, one trainers & a work blazer/jacket have arrived with glitter running through them.

Not obvious from photos, not in the title or description.

Two are just about OK but the trainers are hideous. I am not a 6 year old glitter fan.

Is glitter currently in fashion and I just never noticed?

Glitter is ALWAYS in fashion!

Seriously, it's very annoying if you weren't expecting it. I like a bit of sparkle, but glitter trainers would be a bit much even for me.
