Hi all
Sorry for the long message.

I had surgery last week (14/3)
It was laparascopy for endometriosis after having tried to go on menopause injections to stop ovulation, using pain relief etc and finally the surgery was expedited and carried out. Surgeon found lots of growth and said it was quite deep but they removed it. They also detached my ovary which was stuck to my bowel and also removed a cyst from the left ovary which I believed was causing a lot of pain.
Before the operation, I was constantly in pain, couldn't stand for more than a few minutes, lots of fatigue and exhaustion, pain during and after sex, pain during bowel movements. This all started about 5 years ago but was not as bad it eventually got.
Diagnosis took a long time and I was fobbed off quite a bit as I think I didn't experience fertility issues as many women with endo do. I have two DD's aged 9 and 10. Haven't TTC after them so dont know if any of this illness affects my fertility or not now.

Anyways, last week, I had the surgery and then found I had an infection but went home the next day with a course of antibiotics and lots of cocodamol. The first few days I was sore as I expected but I could bear it with rest and pain relief.

But now the pain is horrendous. I'm in alot of pain, nauseous, tired, cant sleep well, waking up with pain down my left leg. I can move around just about but struggling and just want to curl up and cry because my back hurts so much. It feels like a giant has picked me up and squeezed me all around the middle and wont let go.
I'm going to go to my GP tomorrow to see if the infection is clearing up and see if this is down to the infection but I'm feeling so defeated. I just want to go back to my outdoorsy, active self again

AIBU to think I would start to feel some relief and have my hopes set too high?

Yes you definitely need further medical attention, sorry you are in so much pain and it has got worse after the op.
