DD is 9 almost 10.
She loves tennis and dance, has be long-listed for the regional development centre but we have had to rule this out due to travel and work.
Talking to her coach at home he thinks we need at-least 2 private sessions, 2 strength and conditioning sessions (what even is this at 10) and a group session.
DD also wants to do acro and commercial dance which is an hour and half all in.
The coach said it could be arranged so she does some of her training before school rather than after.
DD doesn't want to be a pro tennis player but does like competing (and winning) and wants to do all the training. We also don't want to shut any doors at this age.
DD is an active child, always out on her bike or rollerblades, jumping on the trampoline.
Does this sound like too much for a 10 year old?
Her coach thinks it could stay similar to this for 3/4 years. Maybe with an extra private added in and going to holidays camps etc.
Then at 13-14 she could decide how much she wants to do and how serious she is about it.
AIBU thinking this is too much at 10 and if she wants to do all the tennis, dance will need to go?
DH thinks dance is important as she does it to have fun not compete or win and he wants her to keep that fun low stress activity.
